PSI Women
PSI Women is a quarterly publication of Public Services International.
Public Services International
PSI is an international non-governmental organisation. It represents the interests
of public sector workers around the world.
Its priorities include:
Promotion of quality public services
Trade union capacity building
Defending and promoting fundamental rights at the workplace
Promoting equality and diversity
The organisation is clearly situated within a critique of corporate globalisation and current trends to privatise and erode the regulatory role of the state.
PSI has an affiliated membership of the public sector trade unions
of 20 million, with members in over 150 countries. It is accredited with the
UN ECOSOC and works closely with the international Labour Organisation (ILO).
It is estimated that 65% of its members are women.
