Fairness At Work

Responsibility for making the Fire Service a fairer place primarily rests with management. However, we all have a responsibility as trade unionists and as public servants to behave properly and appropriately at work and in our trade union.

AN INJURY TO ONE IS AN INJURY TO ALL

Bullying at work: how to tackle it

Bullying or harassment at work is part of our overall policy on Fairness at Work. It can be present in control rooms, stations, watches, training establishments, management, in every part of the Service. We would challenge anyone to say that they have not, at some time in the Service, witnessed bulling or harassment. How they dealt with the situation would depend on their own ability.

If you are being bullied or harassed at work, contact your local official, your regional fairness at work representative or ring our confidential stress and support line.
